How to prepare for colon hydrotherapy
A day before the session it is advisable to hydrate the body by drinking 4 oz of water every hour throughout the entire day. Two hours before a colonic one should stop eating and drinking.
Also prepare to be on time! We are always ready for our clients on time because we value your time. So make sure to not be late for your appointment. Otherwise we will have to shorten the appointment time, so the next clients don’t have to wait.
How long is the session?
The first session will take longer than the follow up session. It will last about one and a half hours. Any other session may last between an hour and an hour and fifteen minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
Since you can’t clean the colon within one session we recommend you begin with 3 to 4 colonics close together. For example, a recommended schedule would be the first two procedures one day after the other and the third and fourth anywhere from a week to two from the second visit. Then your colon hydrotherapist will suggest the best time to come back. Some people will need to start with 6 or more colonics.

Why do people seek colon hydrotherapy?
Most clients that I see suffer from symptoms of toxic buildup. These poisons can circulate into the bloodstream making you feel ill, tired, weak. There are some clients who are aware of the preventive value of colonics and come to see me so they can enjoy vibrant health.
Doctors prescribe colon hydrotherapy for a relief from constipation or as preparation before diagnostic study of the colon (colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy) or after a barium enema.
Are you an ideal client?
I try to meet people exactly where they are – that way every client is an ideal client. If you have a willingness to take responsibility and to make a change in your lifestyle you are on your way to perfect health.
What is the difference between colon hydrotherapy and an enema?
An enema will flush out to a degree but only the first 5 to 10 inches of the lower bowel. A colonic, however, comfortably flushes the entire length of the bowel and eliminates the inconvenience of rushing to the toilet for each release of material.
Laxatives vs. colon hydrotherapy
Laxatives act as irritants and stimulate the muscular walls of the colon to abnormally contract to expel the irritating substance. The body produces a thin, watery mucus that goes through the colon and leaves behind impacted toxins and waste.
Contraindications for colon hydrotherapy
Abdominal hernia, aneurysm, abdominal surgery (within last 6 months), cirrhosis of the liver, carcinoma of the colon, congestive heart failure, fissures, fistulas, GI hemorrhage or perforation, renal insufficiency, severe anemia, severe hemorrhoids, ulcerative colitis, uncontrolled hypertension. |
